The Finnish Transport Agency’s activities are visible in the everyday life of all Finns, as we are responsible for our part of the traffic system in Finland. Our task is to enable efficient, safe and smooth travel and transport on Finland’s roads, railways and waterways, both now and in the future. Responsibility is achieved through concrete action, and is likewise part of everyone’s work at the Finnish Transport Agency.

The Finnish Transport Agency’s sustainability themes, objectives and measures were collected into a single publication for the first time in 2015. Our first Sustainability Report was published in April 2016. Reporting complies with GRI (G4) guidelines (Core Level). Sustainability at the Finnish Transport Agency is encapsulated in the following six themes:

Sustainability themes

  • Customer orientation
  • Contributing to and supporting societal change
  • Responsible procurement and financial administration
  • Sustainable mobility, transport and transport infrastructure management
  • Safety
  • Personnel

The sustainability report 2015 of the Finnish Transport Agency is published in Finnish and in Swedish.
